Covid-19 Support

It is a very uncertain and challenging time, and COVID-19 is impacting all of our lives. You are not alone in feeling the impact on your mental wellbeing, and we have a range of options to help with this.

Although we are all experiencing similar feelings, we are also different people and our direct experience of COVID-19 can be different too. We therefore have a range of therapies and support to help you to manage.

Remote Therapy Delivery

All of our therapies are now being offered remotely, for any common mental health problem (COVID related or otherwise). You can access them online, by telephone or video-conferencing.

Early Intervention for Frontline Staff

Frontline Health and Social Care Staff are undeniably at the forefront of the pandemic. We are offering early intervention support for frontline workers experiencing traumatic stress, aiming to prevent longer term difficulties developing. Refer yourself directly for assessment and discussion, or visit 1stContact to access Traumatic Stress Relief (TSR).

Challenging Times Support on SilverCloud

SilverCloud is an online therapy platform used to deliver CBT-based therapy. With the support and guidance of a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner, you work through a number of modules designed to help you to understand your own difficulties through looking at your thoughts feelings, behaviours, and psychical symptoms and identifying any vicious cycles stopping you from feeling better. You will techniques to help you break free from those vicious cycles.

COVID-19 has forced change, uncertainty, and loss onto us all and as such we are likely feeling the impact on our mental wellbeing. On SilverCloud there is a specific module focussed on these challenging times, helping you to unpick the impact that COVID-19 is having on you personally, and guiding you with ways to better understand, minimise, and manage that impact.

Online Self-Help Video Courses

We have a range of online self-help video courses to support with a range of mental health problems. These courses can be accessed without a referral by signing up directly from our website. Although there is not a course specific to Covid-19, the courses do look at the problems being faced due to the impact of pandemic.

Support for grief/critical illness

The West Yorkshire and Harrogate Health and Care Partnership Grief and Loss Support Service is for anyone suffering any form of grief and loss, or those worried about losing someone, whether this relates to a family member, friend or member of their community. Freephone 0808 1963833 from 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week or access the online chat facility.
