Leeds LGBT+ Minds responds to the Equality & Human Rights Commission

Leeds LGBT+ Minds, a project run by LMWS's Coproduction team, have responded to recent statements made by the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) on conversion therapy and the Gender Recognition Act.

The response asserts: 'The recommendations they have made exclude trans people from proposed improvements to human rights laws and therefore do not defend equal rights across all LGBTQIA+ communities. As a respected national organisation, excluding trans people’s basic human rights is unacceptable and risks promoting the idea that some people’s human rights are less important than others.'
