Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) launches new course ‘Overcoming Stress and Low Mood’ to Support Mental Wellbeing.
Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service (LMWS) is pleased to announce the launch of its new wellbeing course; ‘Overcoming Stress and Low mood’, to support mental health in Leeds.
The course is designed to provide individuals with the tools and techniques to manage feelings of low mood and stress in today's fast-paced world.
The course has been developed by a team of experienced mental health professionals, which will be delivered virtually over six weeks. It will focus on symptoms of stress and low mood and how they can affect our bodies, thoughts, and behaviours.
It will provide participants with techniques to manage challenges, such as feeling anxious, lacking motivation and sleep difficulties and will offer a structured approach to address these.
"The roll-out of the programme comes at a critical time in the year when several factors including work, family life and financial pressures have a significant impact on our wellbeing" said, Tilly Hall, Clinical Lead at Leeds Mental Wellbeing Service.
The course will commence from 18 April 2024 to 23 May 2024, 5-7pm, and will run regularly throughout the remainder of the year.
The workshop is open to anyone 17 years old and over with a registered GP in Leeds.
