Relationship and life issues

Talking and sharing may be the last thing you want to do when pain flare ups occur or at other stressful times.

It is easier to share or talk with your partner, family or friends or work colleagues when you are in less pain or less stressed.

It can however, help to share how the pain can limit you as those around you cannot see the invisible effect of pain. Focussing with them on ways they can support or help you live better with pain, can lead to better lives together.

  • Relate - Relate are experts about relationships and people, they provide support and counselling to help people through difficulties within relationships whether it be with your partner, family or friends.

Young People

Issues around young people caring for you when the pain is disabling can be helped with local young carer schemes.
