COVID-19 service update:
It has come to light that when care was interrupted due to COVID 19, there was some confusion as to how to access the Leeds Community Pain Service in the future. If you had your care interrupted or were awaiting a first appointment please be assured that the service will contact you when routine appointments resume.
If you are struggling to manage your persistent pain and would like a telephone consultation please ring 0113 8433356 or email email@example.com
Spinefit+ has changed its name to Leeds Community Pain Service (LCPS). People already the service won't see a difference, but the team will be expanding its service offer to become the single provider of community pain management in Leeds. LCPS will offer more appointments at a wider range of venues.
We help people to manage persistent or chronic pain and provide support and advice to help them improve their quality of life.
When pain persists for many months, our pain system can become over-sensitive to things like movement and touch. This makes pain that has been present for a long time a very different experience and it needs different care and management from acute pain.
Examples of our care include:
Supporting you to allow for self-management of your persistent pain
Building a personal tailored pain management plan
Reviewing your medication
Exercise programmes, including group sessions
The Painsense App
We are really pleased to offer a revolutionary app to our patients. The free app, called Painsense, has already helped to improve the care we offer to patients and has helped to improve the lives of thousands of people across Leeds experiencing daily chronic pain. If you would like more information about the app please visit the Advanced Digital Institute website.
