What does your average day look like?
Busy! My role is incredibly varied and unrepetitive - no two days are the same. After picking up my visits first thing in the morning, I prioritise them based on need and head out into the community. My role is made up of helping people with self-care, rehabilitation, ordering and fitting equipment, referrals to other agencies and tele care help.
What’s the best thing about your role?
As well as my colleagues, it’s the patient contact - I enjoy helping people.
What do you find challenging?
Heading towards Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as I’m not the most technical person in the Trust! The busy and changing caseload present its own challenges, as too do some patients who don’t always agree to recommendations or changes in their care
