Thanks a Bunch Sara!
This week’s Thanks a Bunch went to Sara Clarke, ICAN Head of Service. She was nominated by Emma Hughes on behalf of all the CAMHS senior Leadership Team for all the hard work and dedication Sara has provided as an interim Head of Service.
At a time of extreme uncertainty, Sara led the team with vision, transparency, and a desire to really drive forward and make the changes needed for the service to develop and improve. Sara cares about the patient’s journey and holds this central to decision making. She understands that staff and teams need to feel heard and utilises a collaborative problem-solving approach to support this. All whilst maintaining a great sense of humour!
Emma thanked Sara saying, “Within our senior leadership team her support has been spot on, and we want to acknowledge our appreciation for this - Thanks Sara!”
Steph Lawrence, Executive Director of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, surprised Sara and commended her, “I couldn’t have presented it to a nicer and more person-centred individual. You truly deserve it.”
Sara said, “I’m immensely proud and honoured to receive this award. CAMHS is going through a huge period of change at the moment and I want to thank everybody for their hard work and dedication to each other and the young people.”
