Thank You Event 2024: Making Stuff Better Award - Highly Commended

Every year we celebrate our amazing staff and their achievements at our Thank You ceremony. Board members will surprise colleagues at their bases and present them with a hamper, balloons and a certificate for being shining examples of our magnificent staff behaviours.

Making Stuff Better Award – Highly Commended

Andrew Llewellyn, CAMHS Information Manager

As the longstanding CAMHS Information Manager, Andrew has consistently epitomised sensitivity, compassion, and flexibility with everyone he comes into contact with. This has been even more evident in many situations requiring multiple short and long-term resolutions in incredibly tight timescales.

Vandhna Sharma, CAMHS Practitioner nominated him on behalf of the CAMHS Therapies Team and said, “Andrew has remained calm, focused, and always considered the impact on clinical care, and listened to the views of clinical and administrative staff. He is a true asset to CAMHS and LCH.”

This is evidenced by the praise from colleagues below:

"I’ve worked with Andrew for many years now. Andrew has always been extremely helpful and patient; he explains processes very clear and supports a whole service, mainly single handed. Andrew is an asset to the Service and has taken on board a whole new system without any hesitation and continues to support the whole team and never fails to crack a joke or a smile! Andrew – I thank you Sir." Sarah Price (Medication Clinic Lead Administrator/Administration Services Coordinator).

"Andrew has supported our team for a number of years with ongoing technology updates but more recently we have been faced with unprecedented challenges. Andrew has been in the background facing into these difficulties whilst always providing the team with clear and thorough training and updates. It is not only this, but also Andrew’s calm and considered approach and ability to always make time to discuss issues or new ideas that makes him such a great person to have as our IT lead. He often goes unnoticed as he just gets on, but he always has time to stop and say hello or attend social events. We think you’re amazing Andrew!" Sophie Lennon (Senior CAMHS Practitioner).

"Andrew has always been extremely helpful and supportive in helping all of us in the service navigate our relationship with the patient records. Since systems changed over, he has been even more of a relentless and supportive presence to helping the service to cope, develop and adjust to keep patients and staff safe in such a turbulent time. He has an extraordinary amount of patience for the staff he works with and for the computer systems he is the font of knowledge to help us. He is always extremely responsive and thorough, seems to be completely unflappable and I hope that he now realises the level of appreciation I and other members of staff have for his work, approach, and all that he contributes to keeping us as a service working safely in very turbulent and changing times. Thank you Andrew, you are a complete and total hero!" Dr Christine Wilson (Consultant Clinical Psychologist).

Sam Prince, Executive Director of Operations surprised Andrew and praised him, "You are a complete asset to CAMHS and to the organisation and on behalf of LCH, we would like to thank you for all your hard work. It's a pleasure to know and work alongside you Andrew."

A delighted Andrew said of the win, "The service has been through quite a challenging time and so to be recognised for the work is fantastic. Thank you."
