Thank You Event 2024: Colleague of the Year - Highly Commended

Every year we celebrate our amazing staff and their achievements at our Thank You ceremony. Board members will surprise colleagues at their bases and present them with a hamper, balloons and a certificate for being shining examples of our magnificent staff behaviours.

Colleague of the Year – Highly Commended

Kate MacCowan (Team Manager, Children's Speech and Language Therapy (CSLT) Service)

Kate embodies the core values of our organization through her quietly confident demeanour, approachability, depth of knowledge, diligent work ethic, supportive nature, and persistent dedication. Her unwavering commitment and positive influence on her team and colleagues render her unequivocally deserving of the award.

Kate consistently demonstrates thoughtfulness in her daily interactions. She maintains an open-door policy, ensuring her availability and approachability to her team, and she is always responsive and empathetic. Kate cares about the health and wellbeing of her team and supports the service by writing the Health and Wellbeing newsletter and arranging times for colleagues to catch up over a cuppa where the pressure is off, and people can take a moment to recharge and reconnect.

Kate typifies the spirit of LCH, and it is a privilege to be her colleague.”
