Open invitation to attend the Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust online Annual General Meeting

Small AGM graphicLeeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust would like to extend an open invitation for members of the public to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM).

This year’s AGM is going online for social distancing purposes and it will be taking place Tuesday 15 September from 1-2pm. During the meeting we’ll share what’s happened over the past 12 months across the organisation and our plans for the future including responding to COVID-19.

The focus of this year’s event is our Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) staff and equality, with guest speakers from our BAME Network.

We will also be launching the first ever Leeds Community Healthcare Third Sector Strategy.

Following extensive consultation and collaboration with the Third Sector, LCH and Forum Central are pleased to unveil this new strategy, which is a first for Leeds. The strategy aims to improve partnership working for better health outcomes, improve health inequalities and support a more sustainable and resilient third sector.

Following the AGM a workshop will take place from 2 pm to 3.30 pm where you will have the chance to find out more about the aims and objectives of the strategy and share your thought on how to meaningfully implement it.

Attendees will have the opportunity to put questions to the Trust Board of Directors prior to the AGM and all questions will receive a reply at or after the event.

If you do not have access to a computer you can contact us to reserve one of the limited spaces in our Boardroom at Stockdale House (Headingley, Leeds LS6 1PF), or you can listen to the meeting by telephone if this is something you would prefer.

Please RSVP before Friday 11 September by emailing lch.comms@nhs.net or calling 0113 843 3423 and let us know whether you would like to join online, by telephone or in person, and if you have and any access or interpreter needs.

Thea Stein, Chief Executive of Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust commented:

“We’ve had a good year here at Leeds Community Healthcare – we’ve taken on some exciting and innovating new services for the city and have continued to provide, what I hope, is always excellent care to all communities in Leeds. I look forward to welcoming you to our AGM and getting the opportunity, along with members of the Board to answer your questions first hand.”
