Please find the next in this series of real stories from Jan below.

Hello, my name is . . . Jan

hello-my-name-is-logo-squareI attended a minor injuries unit with a potential fracture. The waiting time was long and the staff were under real pressure. One nurse who had clearly been having a difficult time, as another patient had collapsed and other people were critical, still took the time to introduce herself, explain my injury and reassured me that I had done the right thing to in attending the unit.

Because of this, I didn’t feel like a time waster. I understood what was going on and I was confident that I had been given the right care.

Please share your stories with us by emailing them to lch.pet@nhs.net.
