Leeds Community Healthcare is Highly Commended

img-10-956On 4 October Leeds Community Healthcare and collaborators occupied two tables at the Excellence in Supply Awards!

The Excellence in Supply Awards promote and celebrate organisations working in partnership with the NHS to deliver high quality, effective and efficient patient care, helping the health service to do more for less.

The Nutrition and Dietetics team held one table with project partners AireLogic Ltd; they were jointly nominated for the electronic Functional Gut Disorder (FGD) form which is an electronic pre-assessment tool for patients seeking dietary treatment for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This tool enables patients to complete the tool online and the dietician will then review the information prior to their first appointment.

Andrea North, General Manager- Specialist Services, said: “It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to celebrate a true collaboration. An idea generated within the service was developed by Airelogic and Stephen Graham in our Business Intelligence Team and it has transformed the way the service works.

“As a result of this work Project Support Officer Mark Simpson is now looking at how this or similar digital solutions can be introduced across the Trust!”

Andrew Davies, Procurement Manager, and Beth Elias, CLaSS Service Manager, held the second table alongside partners from the North of England Commercial Procurement Collaborative (NOECPC), Locala Community Partnership and Leeds and York Partnership Foundation Trust (LYPFT).

They were nominated by one of our suppliers (Maxxima) in the Supplier Engagement category for their ground breaking approach to managing the appointment of Allied Health Professional agency staff suppliers in the region.

Unfortunately we didn’t take home an accolade in Supplier Engagement but we did win Highly Commended in the Non-Clinical Innovation category.

Congratulations everyone- you are all winners to us!
