Have your say:

You can let us know your experiences of our service in a number of ways:

  • Speaking with your CAMHS practitioner.
  • Completing one of our feedback forms in the waiting areas.
  • Filling in your experience of service questionnaire given to you at the end of your work in CAMHS.
  • Emailing us at info.leedscamhs@nhs.net
  • Joining our children and young Peoples or parents 'Have Your Say' forum.

The Children and Young Peoples and Parents Forum:

There are two separate groups that meet three times a year, usually in the school holidays. The groups are an opportunity for you to tell us about your experiences in CAMHS and for us to use your expertise in helping us make our services better for future families.

Involving Children and Young People:

Leeds CAMHS is committed to the UN convention on the rights of the child by involving children and young people in decisions about their health. Children and young people in CAMHS participate in different ways including helping with their care planning, designing CAMHS service leaflets, making suggestions about waiting areas, taking part in training delivery or being part of a job interview panel for doctors.

Leeds CAMHS has signed up to ‘Hear By Right’ the National Youth Agency standards for the active involvement of children and young people. Hear By Right has 7 standards which require children and young people to be involved with CAMHS in developing shared values; strategy; structure; systems; staff; skills and knowledge and style of leadership. In the future you will be able to ask us about how we are meeting each of these standards. You can find more information about Hear By Right at http://hbr.nya.org.uk/
